I went down to the street...
.............to say thanks
to heroes..to soldiers..to veterans
I had no idea...
......you would be there
with your shallow stare
Do you know who these people are?
they might look old...but
..they were studs long before
........you were 40 feet tall
recipients of
....the purple heart (is not
a VS collection)
so please stop staring..
I'd stare back..
....but you'd roll your eyes
if you weren't stuck to a wall...
..powerless to who might leer
so look down..and say thank you
to those that gave you
the freedom to be as shallow..
.....as the sticky...gooey paper
that keeps you from falling...
.....off the wall
