Hair Today...Gone Tommorrow...
Snip
Snip
Snip
Good morning
Sit please
Snip
How are you?
Snip
Lock after lock
Onto the smock
Floatin some more
Down to the floor
Blonde, black, brown
Falling down
Snip snip
Gently soft
Conversation
Scissors snipping
Soft
Music playing
Softly
Gently floating
Come n go
Leaving
Leaving
Souveniers
Paupers, millionaires
On their merry ways
A little something stays
A first grey
Dismay
Smothered down
By luxurious brown
Grizzled white..
Tangling..
Spangling..
Three year old
Locks of gold..
All the forlorn curls..
From matted dry to exotic swirls
All began the morning
sojourning
Purposeful tour
Lying now on the floor
swept away..
with the trash..
sweep
sweep
whistle..
sweep
Close the light
Good night
.

David where is the depth? Give us some of the real David.

delish - you don't see depth?
read it again...

That's great love it.

m00kie...

dreamer...
Indeed we do...Its also about how we view ourselves..are we attached to something greater? or are we locks waiting to be snipped?
swfm..
thanks
chana...
well..the a capella adds to it..I think
although I hesitate to call Jewish sefira music a capella ..
true a capella contains 3-4 types of voices..bass,tenor,mezz,soprano..the highs and lows..
Jewish a capella is a bunch of guys in the same range generally.
I meant stop hiding behind ur prose, let some of the real u shine out. You know exactly what I mean.
LD...
I'm sorry..I'll try harder..lol
I actually like this style at least as much. It's subtle, so you have to read carefully to catch it, just like in real life. And the (not analogy, what word am I looking for?) is perfect!
David has done it again.
About the music... what he said, plus the digital tweaking or whatever it is they do to make it sound so artificial. It's the hassidic a capella that's "just" a bunch of guys in the same range.
I must say, though, I was a little taken aback at first when I saw the music player up there. Good thing Chana commented or I may have started thinking things I shouldn't.
it's not Lag B'omer YET....this reminds me of the cosby show introduction lol
Bas Melech, "I may have started thinking things I shouldn't"? You are soooooo judgemental. You need to chill out.
delish - i think basmelech was kidding....
:)
Brilliant! Just brilliant!
The analogy is fantastic, the writing is superb.
Bas_Melech...
Thanks...
(analogy works fine for me..)
As for the music..if someone were serious about making a proper a capella choir they'd add bass voices and children...like the olde cantorial choirs..
Do you think I'd let you all listen to music?
lol
Open..
I'm a few days early...
well its the pink panther..remember?
LD...
I dont think she meant to be judgemental....I took it in a humuros way...
Shpitzle..
Thanks so much..
........fabulous.
oberon...
Thanks..another dot man huh?

y'know I actually heard pretty good a capella on 107.9 yesterday..
I dont know who it was. Singing Hamalach with sefardi accent..
Dreamer, why do you always do that to me?!?!?! I feel slow enough all the time without your needling :P
Yeah, David, put the post back up. Curiosity raises my blood pressure :P
Glad you've found satisfactory Jewish a capella. Now I wonder who it was! Will the sephardi-accented hamalach singer please stand up?
Or at least tell us the title that was such a giveaway to Sara.
nah, basmelech.
