Behold
I have created man in MY image

Behold
You hath reFASHIONed thyself
In your image
Of
What LIE in
Your imagination
of
HIS image
Of
HER image
Of
You
And you saw that it was good
And nice
And it was evening..
And it was morning..

G’day you silly man..

hmmm... thought-provoking.
A satire for self-worship… mocking the narcissism and vanity of fashion?

This poem of yours can be translated in so many different ways.
It's quite unbelievable.

precisely..
But not just in the fashion sense...but to all people that obsess about their image..it can even be a yeshivish guy whose payos are out at just the right angle..and hat at just the right tilt...living and appearing through the eyes of others who dont really give 2 cents thought about him...

okay, dave - which came first, the chicken or the egg? Did seeing that pic inspire you, or did you seek it out after cooking that poem up? either way, it was refreshing.

Maybe it's because I just read Kasamba's blog on "Fashion Police" but I just can't get the fashion industry out of my head and how they want to dress us in "their image"

Oh that and "A Picture of Dorian Grey" but I think I'm thinking about Dorian because the guy in the picture looks like I imagine him to look like

i feel like it matches my last post - what i think is based on what they think, what they think of me is affected by what i think of me, what i think of them is based on how they view themselves, how they view themselves is connected to how i view them.. and in the end none of us know who to be or who we are and no one seems to really care about anyone else aside from how it affects them..
so many lies so little self esteem..
g-d really did create us in His image. who he appears to be is who we create him to be

Reminds me of this cute little article that was going around a while back (it's bound to come around again soon, they all do). It went something like, "Billy Smith is the coolest kid in my class, I wanted to be just like him. So I tried to walk like him, talk like him... then I realized that Billy Smith walked and talked just like Joe Brown. And Joe Brown always walked and talked like..." it went on for a while and concluded, "and you know who he followed? Why, he walked and talked like that annoying pest Phil Adams, who walks and talks like silly ol' me!"

Never seen it...But its cute..
(when it comes back around..I'll feign surprise..lol)

mega...
dude?..lol
try reading it a few times and giving it some thought..

here is an explanation...
G-d created us in his Image...right?
and yet we allow our own "image" sometimes to overshadow...by being into our Image which is so silly because its all in our imagination..how the next one perceives us...so we rewrite the text od bereishes..in our own vain way...
