In Memoriam

I never saw your smile..
Never knew you as a child..
I've only seen the weariness..
In your eyes
Which belies
One day too many in the wilderness
Of war.
All sore..
Your face, scarred
Your gaze, long n hard
Alive yet dead
Your life you have shredded
For a cause..
Without pause
And for that I am indebted
For one mans cause
Is anothers Freedom
And the latter
am I

Nice post for Memorial day great music to go along with it. I celebrated it, sort of by having the day off and going to the beach:).

Beautiful. We had a bbq...of course I couldn't eat it...

But all year round we have our flags flying. Something about the american flag flying in the wind makes me emotional. Almost teary eyed every time I sit and watch it. Maybe I'll have to post a picture of them sometime. I have a new soldier on my blog...he just posted yesterday. Go see!

Bleh, I dislike echoing what other people said. So instead of being unoriginal, I'll just say I agree with the other commentators.

I would have celebrated with some community service and a barbeque, but I had to go into work. :(

ahh u know how to do it..
I prefer the beach on a quiet weekday afternoon

i know what u mean..
u dont see many flags in Lakewood though..which is a shame..
a stalker AND a soldier?

theres no pressure to say anything original..or to comment at all for that matter..
Sorry that u had to work...But its because of people like u..that I was able to fully relax
